Camera-ready paper submission
|
The deadline for camera-ready paper submission is
23.59 EST, May 1, 2006.
At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register before
May 8, 2006, in order for the paper to be published in the conference
proceedings. Please fill in the registration
form and send it in as you submit your camera-ready paper.
The corresponding author needs to fill in a form transfering copyright to
Springer-Verlag, in order for the paper to be published in the conference
proceedings. Please download the form here as a
PDF file, fill it in and sign it, and mail it to:
Dick de Ridder
Information & Communication Theory Group
Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science
Delft University of Technology
P.O. Box 5031, 2600 GA Delft, The Netherlands
or (preferably!) send it by fax to: +31 15 278 1843
Please prepare your submission using the following guidelines:
- Papers can be up to 9 A4 pages long (for both oral and poster presentations).
If your paper absolutely needs one or two additional pages, this is
possible, but a charge of HK$ 1000 will be added to the registration fee
for each additional page.
- Only PDF files can be accepted.
- Please typeset your paper according to the Springer-Verlag instructions,
which can be downloaded as a PDF file (124 Kb).
The easiest way to adhere to these instructions is to use LaTeX2e with the LNCS package,
which can be downloaded here (ZIP, 70 Kb).
If you are not able to use LaTeX2e, you may use the old macro packages
for either LaTeX 2.09 (ZIP, 26 Kb) or
plain TeX (ZIP, 26 Kb).
- To produce PDF files, you can use pdflatex, which is available in
most recent LaTeX distributions (e.g., teTeX and MikTeX).
- Alternatively you can use ps2pdf, included in the
GhostScript
distribution. Make sure you use at least version 6.50 of GhostScript,
as older versions produce poor PDF files.
- If you cannot use LaTeX, please use Microsoft Word, for which a
template file (ZIP, 147 Kb) is available.
- Please make sure not to use any fonts (e.g. Chinese fonts) not present
in the standard distribution of Acrobat Reader.
We need the following things from you:
- A PDF file of your camera-ready paper
- A compressed archive (created by ZIP
or tar/gz),
containing all files used to create this PDF file. This depends
on what software you used to create your submission:
- LaTeX users, please include:
- the LaTeX file itself
- the DVI file
- all figures
- optionally, the bibliography file
- optionally, any non-standard style files
- Microsoft Word users, please include:
- the DOC file itself
- an RTF file (create this by choosing "Save as..." and selecting
"Rich Text Format" under "Save as type")
- If you use other software, we need just an RTF file.
Please refer
to the documentation of your specific software package to find out
how to create one.
To upload your submission successfully, you will need:
- Your paper ID
- The password provided in the acceptance e-mail message
- The PDF file of the camera-ready paper as a file on your
local harddisk or network
- The ZIP or tar/gz file of the camera-ready paper
as a file on your local harddisk or network
- A web browser that supports HTTP uploads, such as Netscape 2.0 or
later, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later
Note that you can submit more than once; in this case, your old
submission will be overwritten.
UNIX versions of Netscape, and possibly other browsers, will allow the user
to specify a directory name in the File to upload field, but the browser
will not transmit anything in this case and will hang until the user
interrupts it by clicking on Stop. This behavior is a bug in the browser and
cannot be detected or avoided by our server. Other browsers will
detect and disallow attempts to upload directories.
If you experience problems during submission of the files, please send an
e-mail describing your specific problem to
D.deRidder@tudelft.nl.
